Riverfront StoryTime

Riverfront Storytime is an interactive summer program that provides children of all ages from across the Mid-South an opportunity to learn about the Mississippi River through story time, experience a puppet show about ways to enjoy and protect the river, and have play time on the river with other children. The program will occur on Tuesdays and Thursday in June, and contains three components:

  1. Storytime in the Cossitt Courtyard. All of the books will be about the Mississippi River.

  2. A walk from Cossitt down to the riverfront for a puppet show. The puppet show will be about all the fun things you can do by the river such as flying a kite, playing tag, tossing a ball, drawing/coloring a picture of the river, and sitting down to relax by the river.

  3. Activity time, filled with coloring sheets, kites, and balls.

Riverfront StoryTime will be offered on Tuesdays (at 9:30am & at noon) and Thursdays (6pm) in June. The event is free and open to all, but we do ask that you RSVP.
